Having worked with the founders of NACSW® and many other experienced professional K9 handlers, Chris and Laura have a great appreciation for the science behind training methods, keeping them up to date on coaching techniques. While keeping in mind the importance of having fun with your dog and building a closer bond with them.

Chris and his K9 partner, Barley, qualified to compete in the first two NACSW® Nationals competitions. At Nationals teams compete against one another, over several days, in a format based on professional detection trials.
He is also a Certifying Official and a Trial Judge and travels across the country officiating NACSW® sanctioned trials.

Her passion for this sport compelled her to learn more about canine behavior. She spent several years volunteering her time with the behavior and education department at her local shelter to learn more about canine communication.
She has also been honored to be an instructor at Georgia Nose Work® Camp and Pennsylvania Nose Work® Camps. Camp is designed to enhance the understanding of K9 Nose Work® and to develop the skills necessary to compete in the sport.
She has helped to coordinate K9 Nose Work® trials in Southern California, acting as Trial Host, Trial Representative and/or Volunteer Coordinator. She is also a Certifying Official and a Trial Judge and travels across the country officiating NACSW® sanctioned trials.
